Midcoast Classics Tote (Frienship Sloop)
The profile of a Friendship Sloop is unmistakable. With their clipper bows, long bowsprits, and gaff rigs, they always catch the eye. Originally one of Maine's most trusted lobster boat designs, they now have a devout following of historical marine enthusiasts, and can be seen sailing up and down the New England coast.
Our “Midcoast Classics” bag collection features custom designs inspired by the people, places, and history that make the region remarkable. Each design is hand carved and applied by hand using premium oil based inks. They are made of rugged duck cotton and feature a versatile set of interior pockets made from recycled marine cloth, and are assembled using our 100+ year old industrial Singer sewing machine. The handles are from a comfortable three strand line that are finished with Matthew Walker knots and hand whippings. The hand stamped leather labels give a clean classic finish. Bags are 12" tall with a 7" by 9" base.
Each bag is unique and made with care at our shop in Rockport, ME. Whether you are heading out for a day on the boat or to explore the town, take a piece of the coast with you wherever you go!
